Who Is Eligible ?

If you are an unemployed individual not currently participating in a self-employment program or operating a business, then you are eligible for this program.

The Program

Workshops are held at Employment Resource Centers (ERC) in Toronto and Etobicoke on a rotating basis. If you are interested, please contact your local ERC office to register or obtain information on seminar schedules. You may also register online directly from this web site.

Group Workshop Sessions

The half day Self Employment Discovery Workshop provides the opportunity to:

• Learn about current labour market trends and the shift to contract work
• Identify the needs of today's employers and essential skill requirements for self-employment
• Complete an entrepreneurial assessment to identify strengths and skills related to self employment
• Learn how to identify self- employment and employment opportunities and research business ideas
• Obtain information on self-employment and employment resources to maximize networking opportuniti
